Take a diverse group of teenagers with an even more diverse set of musical tastes and backgrounds (a Malaysian singer, a 17 year old bass player, a female drummer, a shredder, and a jazz guitarist) throw them into the Paul Green School of Rock Music in Princeton, New Jersey watch them bond..... and now you've got what's called Dyslexicon.
With an average of three years each at their respective instruments, and an average age of 15, Dyslexicon has already managed to accomplish what many musicians could only dream of.
Collectively or individually they have shared the bill at the School of Rock Festival (in Asbury Park) with Ween, Bad Brains, and Adrian Belew, toured with Jon Anderson of Yes, Vernon Reid of Living Colour, and Jeff "Skunk" Baxter of Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, recorded with John Ginty (Citizen Cope, Santana, Sheryl Crow), recently played the legendary John & Peter's in New Hope, PA., and, all of this while continuing to attend and rehearse for upcoming School of Rock shows at venues throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Dyslexicon currently continues to write original material, and plans are in the works to get the band into the studio to record their first album in early Fall 2007.
Once you've heard or seen Dyslexicon you'll attest...age truly doesn't matter.
